If you were to die today, do you know where you would go, heaven or hell? This is a question few people give thought to, however, we all know people that have died unexpectedly. Where you will spend eternity is the most important decision you will ever make in your life. Eternity is a long time and once you have died there is no changing your mind. God has made the way for everyman to go to heaven, however just because He provided the way does not mean that all men accept it. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay the price of sin for all mankind so that if they would receive the sacrifice He made for them they would go to heaven. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 says that God desires that all men be saved and to come into the knowledge of the truth (salvation through Jesus Christ). In Romans 10:9-10 says that if you confess Jesus as your Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved. To go to heaven you need to make Jesus your Lord and ask Him into your heart. Then you will know that everything is right between you and God and you will go to heaven. I am going to put a prayer up here and if you would like to have the assurance of going to heaven and knowing Jesus Christ personally, I would ask that you say the prayer and then email me when you are done. I am not talking about a religion, I am talking about a relationship with God. Heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner and that there is nothing that I can do to save myself. I confess Jesus as my Lord and believe in my heart that you raised Him from the dead. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Thank you that you paid the price for my sin so that I would not have to. Thank you for becoming my substitute and taking my place. I believe you died for me and were raised for my justification and you put me in right standing with God. Satan, I tell you now that I renounce you and all your works in my life. I no longer give you any place in my life. Jesus, I ask that you come in and take control of my life. Father, I thank you for my salvation now, in Jesus name. AMEN!!! Now the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away and the new has come!! All this is from God who has reconciled us to Himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. In Psalm 103:12 it says, that as far as the East is from the West, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. God no longer has a record of anything you have done wrong. You are now born again!! You are clean before God!!! Your past has been wiped away and everything is new. You now need to get yourself a Bible and start reading it. You can start in the New Testament with the gospel of John, and then go to Matthew, Mark, Luke, John again and Acts. Start reading at least one chapter a day and spend at least 10 minutes a day in prayer (talking to God ). The same way that you eat food to keep your physical body going, you need to read the Bible because it feeds your spirit and helps it to grow strong. If you do not have a church that you attend, I can refer you to a good one in your area just email me and let me know.
